We might make little snacks, but we have big dreams to make the world better

During a visit to Cambodia in 2018, we learned Cambodia suffered a genocide after the Vietnam war. One quarter of Cambodia’s population was killed during this communist take-over. The extreme poverty, lack of access to education and lack of employment opportunities was distressing and very sad.

Agriculture is one of the few ways for Cambodians to earn a living, but a lack of farming knowledge and lack of market access means most agriculture products go to waste. This is where we decided we could make the most impact.

Our founder bought a farm, pays living wages and health insurance, and provides access to clean water and food staples. Our support expanded beyond our farm and into the surrounding area. We coordinated international aid funding through the US government’s agency for international development (USAID) and Asian Development Bank (ADB).  We partnered with local Cambodians to ensure farming practices are certified to international standards.

We launched Sojourn dried fruit brand to support market access for our farmers.  The market access program provides funds for the basics we take for granted in the western world.  Farmers use these funds to send their kids to school past sixth grade, buy farming equipment, and now they can access clean water and feed themselves every day.
